Fabric decides the method

Upholstery is not one material, and the cleaning code on the tag matters more than the stain does:

When a tag is missing, unreadable, or the piece has been reupholstered, we test an inconspicuous area first. On delicate, antique, or high-value pieces we would rather tell you we are not the right fit than risk the furniture.

  • W means the fabric can take a water-based method
  • S means solvent only, and water can leave rings or shrink it
  • WS can take either, depending on condition
  • X means vacuum only, and any liquid cleaning risks damage
Questions We Get

Upholstery cleaning questions

Most upholstery is dry within a few hours to overnight, depending on the fabric, the method used, and the humidity in the room. We will tell you what to expect for your specific pieces before we finish.
Microfiber and most synthetics clean well. Velvet and other pile fabrics can be cleaned but the pile may look different afterward, which we explain first. Leather is conditioned rather than cleaned the way fabric is, so tell us what you have when you call.
Fresh spills usually respond well. Older stains, dye transfer from clothing or newspaper, sun fading, and pet urine that has soaked into the cushion are different problems, and some of them are permanent discoloration rather than soil. We tell you which category yours is in before we start.
Yes, we clean upholstery on site in homes and offices throughout Louisville and Southern Indiana. You do not need to move the furniture anywhere.
Yes. Fabric protection can be applied after cleaning, which makes future spills easier to blot before they set. It is a separate service and works best on freshly cleaned upholstery.

Some stains, discoloration, wear, or previous damage may not be fully removable. We explain any concerns identified before cleaning begins.
